Investment
How can I sample the product?
Order a sample kit to receive all of our retail size products from our comprehensive line. All of our products were specially formulated to be used on all hair types! Sample now!
After testing your new private label hair care products, when you complete your enrollment with genesis within 30 days of receiving your sample kit, we’ll credit the cost toward your first order, making it absolutely free!
How much is it to get started?
What if I don't want to order all of the hair care products for my opening order?
Our range of 16 different formulations is specifically designed so each product serves a unique purpose. However, you can customize your opening package by selecting the products you want and excluding those you may not. After all, this is YOUR brand!
Design Process
How long does it take to design my label?
The time it takes to design your label varies based on whether you have a pre-existing logo in a usable format, the level of customization in your design, and the amount of revisions needed prior to your approval.
What if I have a design already?
As the saying goes, “the Devil is in the details”. Our designers will review your pre-existing design with a fine tooth comb (pardon the pun) and, if the artwork provided is in a usable, high-resolution format, provide a mock-up of your products for approval using your design
What if I want to trademark my design?
Visit uspto.gov/trademark if you would like to find out more about trademarking your design.
Can I change the product names?
Yes! This qualifies as a “front panel premium design”, which carries a $500 one-time charge for all products.
Can I change the promotional and usage copy on the back of the bottles?
Yes! This qualifies as a “back panel premium design”, which carries a $500 one-time charge for all products. Please note that the ingredients and safety information may not be altered.
Shipping
How much is shipping within the Continental US?
The shipping charge on your Opening Package order is calculated at actual cost. We do not add a “handling” cost. After that, all reorders are shipped at a flat rate of $19.95, with discounts available at certain dollar amounts. Please visit our web store for details.
Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?
We are proud to say we service salons in all 50 of the United States! There is no additional paperwork needed for Alaska and Hawaii. However, the shipping charge for Alaska and Hawaii is the actual cost of shipping, just as with the Opening Package.
What is the turnaround time on reorders?
Reorders typically ship from our production and distribution center in Reading, PA within 5 business days. However, due to the customization process for every order as well as variable shipping times, please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.
Do you ship outside the US?
International customers are responsible for making their own shipping arrangements, FOB Reading, PA.

What are the minimums when reordering?
We have low minimums! Order what you need and what you want.

What kind of marketing support do you offer?
We offer customized marketing materials you can review in our online store. If you don’t see something you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to ask! We are always happy to accommodate if we can.
Will I receive a tracking number with my order?
Yes! You will get an email when the item has shipped (with tracking number), if there is an exception and when it is delivered.

Where are the products made?
The majority of our hair care products are made in the USA with the exception of our hair sprays which are made in Canada. The raw materials and packaging come from all over the globe.
What do I say when clients ask, “who made the products?”
Clients know that you were not up all night making these in your bathtub; nor are you a chemist! Share with them that you have partnered to make a prestige product that meets the high standards of your salon.
Why do I need my own brand?
You want to build your brand…not someone else’s. For too long you have been making product recommendations only to have your clients purchase the products somewhere else. Its time for you to be your client’s favorite brand! This gives you a point of difference and an exclusive brand. You are the brand!
What type of technology is used in the formulations?
Simply put, the technology is called plant powered, which means we use natural minerals and plant based proteins.
What are the recommended retail prices?
Traditional markup on private label product ranges between 2½ to 3 times your cost. But because this is YOUR exclusive brand, you can and should price your product however you see fit
Insurance
Do you have insurance?
Yes! We have liability insurance for Genesis. Our policy through Erie Insurance covers up to $2M aggregate, $1M each occurrence. In addition our facility also maintains liability insurance, $5M aggregate and $1M each occurrence. When you sign up we can request a Certificate of Insurance listing your salon as additional insured.

Do you have SDS sheets?
Yes, we do have safety data sheets available at your request.
Are natural ingredients important to us?
YES! Our products are color safe, keratin safe, extension/wig safe, animal cruelty-free, vegan, and free of Lilial, sulfates, phthalates, and parabens. Below are just some of the natural ingredients in our formulations:
· Sunflower Seed Extract: shine, protection
· Coconut Milk Protein: silky, smooth, strong hair
· Rhodochrosite: seals color and balances moisture level
· Quinoa Protein: maximum fullness
· Sericite Mica: smooths, seals, adds shine
· Magnesium: improves elasticity and hydrates
· Pumpkin Seed: flexible strength and manageability
· Bentonite Clay: moveable hold, adds strength, protects
· Kaolin Clay: hold without stickiness and oil absorption
· Hemp Seed Proteins: fights fly-aways and frizz
Can I create my own or modify the formulation in the bottles?
We exclusively offer our thoroughly researched and clinically tested plant powered formulas. Each of our private label hair care products contains a precise dosage of natural minerals and plant proteins uniquely designed to achieve results you can see and feel.
Do the products contain silicone?
The following products DO NOT contain silicone:
· Volumizing Foam
· Pomade
· Flex Paste
· Blow Dry Cream
· Moisture shampoo
· Purple Shampoo
· In Control Hair Spray
· Dry Shampoo
The remainder of the products do contain a form of silicone.
Do any of the products contain Soy?
Yes. Volumizing Foam and Style & Shine Spray contain Soy oil.
Do any of the products contain Glycerin and does this affect hair color?
Yes, Glycerin is an ingredient in the Moisture Conditioner and Volume Conditioner. Once the hair is properly washed and neutralized, the glycerin in the Moisture Conditioner should have no affect on the color process. The colorant molecules have penetrated into the context of the hair shaft after the first wash, the cuticle is sealed, and any excess on the surface is washed away.
Are your products color safe, keratin safe, and extension safe?
Yes!
Can the amethyst oil be mixed with bleach or hair color?
We do not recommend mixing any products with other manufacturer’s hair color systems.
What is the shelf life of your products?
What are the pH levels of your shampoo and conditioner?
- Moisture Shampoo: 6.0-8.0
- Moisture Conditioner: 4.0-5.0
- Volume Shampoo: 6.0-6.5
- Volume Conditioner: 4.0-5.0
Do any of your products contain color pigment?
Two of the Genesis products that contain color pigment: Amethyst Oil and Volumizing Foam.
Is there any reason for people that have nut allergies to avoid using the products with seed extracts in them?
Not necessarily, but as it the case with any product that comes into direct contact with the skin we strongly recommend that clients withany allergies always seek advice from their medical professional before using the products to assist in determining their tolerance, and most importantly practice a patch test prior to use.

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Yes! Our packaging is recyclable. It is not biodegradable.
